Introduction

As the leader of the Italian Interuniversity Consortium for Argentina (CUIA), UNICAM already facilitates international cooperation across Argentine universities. Prior collaboration among CUIA-Conicet (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas) have aid the groundwork for integrated skill development and infrastructure creation, including incubators and clusters. In this context, as a complementary tool, the E+ KA171 focuses on strenghenining ties with key institutions like the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), UNiversidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), Universidad Nacional de Salta (UNSa), already funded with the E+ KA171/22 project, and Universidad de Concepción del Uruguay (UCU).

UBA School of Law is one of the most prestigious and influential in Argentina and Latin America. UNICAM and UBA partnership focuses on consolidating a framework agreement with the UNICAM SL and a joint Postgraduate Course in Contemporary Studies of the Americas and Europe (http://americaeuropa.sociales.uba.ar/), in collaboration with University La Sapienza, Rome.

UNL comprises 10 faculties, 2 university centers, a branch campus, the School of Music and 14 UNL-CONICET Joint Research Institutes. These academic units have different programs in the fields of humanities, science, technology, and culture, which are closely related to the problems and the reality of the region the university is based in. The UNICAM-UNL partnership explores 2 main areas: Law and Architecture.

UNSa was founded in 1972 and it has become one of the leading universities in northern Argentina. UNSa offers a wide range of programs in all 3 cycles of study. The cooperation is with the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Former projects funded by CUIA (2011-12) and the Italian minister for foreign affairs (2014-15), related to sustainable uses of the geothermal resources in the Salta and Jujuy areas in Argentina, gave satisfactory results both in terms of research products and the growth of students and young researchers. The aim of the current project is to continue the path started and also fostered with the E+ KA171/22, which is mainly oriented to research and education on green energy, sustainability and water resources.

UCU is characterized by a wide academic offer, including joint degree programs. It is recognized for its commitment to academic excellence, social responsibility, and community engagement and as one of the leading universities in the Entre Ríos region. The collaboration with UCU represents a new opportunity for UNICAM students enrolled in Biology programs (both I and II cycle). The proposal aims at consolidating the collaboration between UCU and UNICAM, undertaken with a MoU signed by the Rectors of both Universities.

Reports and Pictures

- Incoming Staff mobility fro Teaching and Treaning, Prof. Talamo Elisa Paula Martina, from UCU to UNICAM

Incoming Staff mobility for Training, Prof. Hassen Alejandra Andrea, from UCU to UNICAM

In their five days of mobility, professor Talamo presented UCU’s practical activities in hospitals and health centers, highlighting the positive impact of intergenerational nutritional interventions for older adults and sharing her research experience to foster active participation across generations while the Vice-Rector Andrea Hassen introduced the Argentine university system and UCU’s internationalization process, emphasizing how collaboration agreements and participation in international networks have expanded academic opportunities, particularly with Italy.

In the report you can find below, the Vice-rector emphasises how this project can strengthen international networks, highlighting the importance of knowledge and innovation for economic and social development, stressing the central role of universities in training skills suited to the transformations of IoT 4.0. During the mobility there was the opportunity to discuss about future double degrees programs, academic mobility, and joint research in Nutrition and Biological Sciences, with a focus on nutritional interventions for adults and the elderly.

Both institutions aim to develop joint projects to improve quality of life and provide new educational opportunities for Argentine and Italian students.
