Grade Distribution

The European Credit Transfer System makes teaching and learning in higher education more transparent across Europe and facilitates the recognition of all studies. The system allows for the transfer of learning experiences between different institutions, greater student mobility and more flexible routes to gain degrees. It also aids curriculum design and quality assurance.

Description of the institutional grading system:
Individual course are graded on a scale of 18-30: 18/23=adequate; 24/26=satisfactory; 27/28=good; 29/30=very good; 30+lode=outstanding. The maximum final university grade is 110. For exceptional students the degrees may be awarded cum laude.
ECTS grading scale:
A - Excellent
B - Very Good
C - Good
D - Discrete
E - Sufficient
ECTS credits:
1 full academic year = 60 credits
1 semester = 30 credit
1 term/trimester = 20 credit
