KA107

What is ICM?

For 30 years, the European Union has funded the Erasmus programme which has enabled over 3 million European students to spend part of their studies in another higher education institution (HEI) in Europe. In 2015, Erasmus+ opened up these opportunities to individuals and organizations from other parts of the world. Through “International Credit Mobility” – ICM for short – European HEIs can set up mobility agreements which partners around the world to send and receive student and staff.

Why participate?

ICM projects aim to help participants acquire key skills, support their professional development, and deepen their understanding of cultures. These projects aim to increase the capacities, attractiveness and international dimension of the organizations taking part too.

The key action KA107 of the Erasmus+ programme for International Credit Mobility (ICM) promotes the implementation of mobility projects outside the EU, in line with the internationalisation of higher education institutions strategy. The goal of this action is to attract students and teachers towards the European universities, supporting them in the competition with the global higher education. At the same time, the objective is to expand the range of possible destinations for European students and teachers with an openness towards other Countries of the world.
