Introduction
Established in 1999, SUZA, with its 8 Schools, commits to deliver quality education to transform society to be well educated, to acquire responsible leadership and practical entrepreneurial skills and to adopt democratic citizenry. Its School of Health and Medical Sciences (SHMS) started a collaboration with UNICAM-SBMV in 2017 by the involvement of UNICAM in a parasitology training of African researchers, developed at the PHL-IdC, a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre and an integral part of the local health care system in Pemba. The institutions are now moving on in the construction of a double master degree (DD), an innovative educational proposal for both universities, focused on the aspects that connect environmental health with a sustainable nutrition, since malnutrition due to an unoptimal use of the natural available resources is a main problem in the sub-Saharan Africa.
