Non EU citizen resident outside Italy

If you are a NON-EU CITIZEN who is non-resident in Italy, you must apply for pre-admission at the University.
The online form is available at international.unicam.it (home page) 

The school/academic documents will be reviewed  by the scientific committe of the chosen degree course.
If the curriculum is positively evaluated, an informal pre-admissione letter will be sent back via e-mail to the address written in the online form.
This letter, enclosed to all theother required documents,  have to  be submitted to the Italian Diplomatic Authority for the procedure of pre-enrollment.

In the period March-July you must   to apply for  pre-enrollment at the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your home country checking the list of degree courses offered by UNICAM and the quota (number of places) reserved for foreign nationals.

Every year the pre-enrollment deadline at the Italian Embassies / Consulates is subject to change, but usually it is set near the end of July.
Between July and August,  the Italian Embassies/Consulate send to the Universitiesthe official lists of pre-enrolled students  .
Each University, after further checks,  sends the list of eligible and accepted candidates to the Italian Diplomatic authorities.

To be eligible for enrollment you must have:

For BACHELOR DEGREE  (Laurea Triennale) 1st cycle Degree) and for ONE-TIER MASTER DEGREE (Laurea Magistrale a ciclo unicoSingle cycle Degree)

  • High-school diploma) that satisfies the requirements for access to university education, i.e. conferred on completion of a minimum of 12 years of education
  • Certificate of academic eligibility if required by you home country  (ex. for Chinese students GAOKAO certificate (min. score 380)

 

ONCE IN ITALY in order to finalize your enrollment, you must submitthe ORIGINALS to the Student Registry of the following documents.. 
Failure to present even one of these rmandatory documents can lead to rejection of your enrollment.

  1. Document of identity (ID or passport)
  2. Residence permit or proof of the application
  3. One photo authenticated by the Italian Embassy/Consulate
  4. The original High -school diploma or educational qualification translated and  legalized by the relevant authority of the country where it was issued or with Apostille stamp (if applicable), and officially translated into Italian;
  5. ‘Dichiarazione di valore” document (Declaration of Validity)issued by the Italian diplomatic authority in the countries where the diploma was awarded, in which it is specified that the Diploma  has been conferred on completion of a minimum of 12 years of education and valid for academic eligibility.
    It is important to note that you will receive a username and password for all UNICAM services upon your arrival, but that your username will only be activated by the Student Registry when your enrollment process has been finalised.

For Master  Degree (Laurea Magistrale) 2nd Cycle Degree

  • Bachelor Degree that satisfies the requirements for access to University Master Degree courses
  • List of subjects studied (transcript of records with grades obtained)
  • Course Syllabuses outlines (i.e. exam programs) or Diploma Supplement in Italian or English
  • International English Language Certificate

 

ONCE IN ITALY,  in order to finalize your enrollment, you must present the ORIGINALS of the following documents at the Student Registry. Failure to present even one of these mandatory documents can lead to rejection of your enrollment.

  1. Document of identity (ID or passport)

  4. the original Bachelor Degree or academic qualifiction, translated and legalized by the relevant authority of the country where it was issued or with Apostille stamp (if applicable), and officially translated into Italian. 
  5. the original list of subjects studied (transcript of records with grades obtained) translated in Italian and validated with the official stamps by the Italian  diplomatic authority (Embassy or Consulate) or with Apostille stamp (if applicable).
  6.  “Dichiarazione di valore” document (Declaration of Validity).issued by the Italian diplomatic authority in the country where the degree was awarded, in which it is specified  that the High School Diploma has been conferred on completion of a minimum of 12 years of education and that the Bachelor Degree  satisfies the requirements for access to Master Degree courses in Italian universities.
  7. Course Syllabus outlines (i.e. exam programs) or Diploma Supplement in Italian or English (in Italian or English)
    It is important to note that you will receive a username and password for all UNICAM services upon your arrival, but that your username will only be activated by the Student Registry when your enrollment process has been finalised.
     

IMPORTANT

·         For courses taught in English. International students should  produce an International English Language Certificate preferably at level B2 (Independent User) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning and Teaching.

·         For courses taught in Italian.   International students must prove their proficiency in Italian at level B2 by international certification or by an  exam (usually held at UNICAM in September) before the matriculation.
